EDC’s Hire Local Virtual Job Fair March 31st

The San Juan County Economic Development Council (EDC) urges businesses and residents to hire local workers and contractors as the economy starts to reopen. In an effort to connect island workers with local businesses, the EDC will host a Virtual Job Fair on Wednesday, March 31st from 10-11:30 a.m., via Zoom.

Business owners and workers are invited to join the EDC’s Virtual Job Fair on Wednesday, March 31st from 10-11:30 a.m., via Zoom. Reservations required by March 28th. Businesses and local workers may register below – after registering, Zoom instructions will be emailed to participants. Attendees must be over 18 years old and have a Zoom account to participate. Each team member is provided with all supplies, tools, and PPE gear needed to perform the essential duties.

Pay Scale is $28.00 to $30.00 per hour.

 

Guest Relations/Seasonal Assistant

Work from home! Part time Guest Relations/Reservationist

This will be a year-round position 8:30-5 pm Saturday, Sunday, & Mondays. Supplies & Equipment Provided Each team member is provided with all supplies, tools, and PPE gear needed to perform the essential duties the job. PAY – Salary D.O.E

As a reservation and guests relations agent, you will be reimbursed mileage per Federal Rate dictated by the Government. As a salaried employee, there are benefits such as dental and vision insurance, a monthly contribution to their HSA account, vacation, etc. To qualify employee must work a minimum of 30 hours a week. Responsibility The NW Island Escapes, reservation and guest’s relations agent have three primary tasks: (i) Communicate with our guests, taking reservations and receiving guests relations calls and inquiry. (ii) to ensure that guests have an exceptional experience from an arrival to departure, (iii) managing and ensuring that our reservations system is running seamlessly.

 

Full-Time Seasonal Assistant Island Manager Orcas Island only

Responsibility The NW Island Escapes, Orcas Island Assistant Manager has three primary tasks: (i) Working cooperatively with the Island Manager to be responsible for ensuring the houses under our management purview are maintained in a high state of readiness that meets or exceeds the standards as set by Company. (ii) to ensure that guests have an exceptional experience from arrival to departure, (iii) managing and ensuring the performance of our housekeeping staff meets the expectations of our homeowners and guest.

Seeking 1 or 2 CIDER SLINGERS!

Part to full time, starting weekends soon, then open daily May through October.

Serve our distinctive ciders and specialty wines, along with teas, slushies and some light bites to a grateful crowd at the ferry landing, where we’ve been helping people wait for 5 years now.
